We are now sending your child/ren’s termly targets home. The sheet shows what we hope to achieve in terms of your child’s learning and development and how we would achieve them. We send them to you so that you can be involved in their learning, know what stages they are and how you can also help.
Termly Topics
This term, we have explored ‘Spring’, looked at changes in the weather, what we wear and also growing plants. We have had the chance to plant our very own daffodils, which are flourishing in our garden. We also managed to make a trip to the Natural History museum.
At the moment we are looking at ‘people who help us’. The team at the Norbury Fire Station have graciously agreed to come to talk to us on the 18th of March 2015 about what they do and to show us their fire engine. Yipee!
All these topics are running along children’s interests which have changed weekly from shapes to colours to Bob the Builder to kinds of transport etc. It has been really exciting.
Staff out, Staff in
We have said goodbye to Sandra Tilcock who had to find work closer to her new home and we are saying welcome to Mrs Mahj Quereshi. We are very delighted to have her to share her vast experience and expertise with us.
Extra curricular activities for the children
Like we mentioned before, we have started our French lessons on Tuesdays. The children are loving it and now we have started our Little Chef’s club on Fridays. Watch out for our recipe book at a supermarket close to you!
Parental involvements
We are taking this opportunity to welcome parents who want to come in for a few hours in a day or a few days in a week. Whichever suits you, please feel free to come. You can speak to a member of staff.
